Last Paw Rescue exists to save dogs in need and guide them into loving, permanent homes. We don't rest until the last paw is home.
Our Journey
Founded on December 20, 2012, by Kathy Cipriani and Kim Abbs, Last Paw Rescue began with nothing but a shared vision and a deep dedication to animal welfare. While we started with only an idea, we have since grown into a community of volunteers and partners who have helped find homes for over 1,400 dogs. We believe that every dog needs a home, and our work is driven by the amazing people who share that vision.
How We Operate
As a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rely entirely on the generosity of our supporters and the kindness of our foster families. Our dogs receive compassionate, foster-based care where they are nurtured in a home environment while receiving necessary medical support. By operating this way, we ensure each dog is well-prepared for their transition into a lifelong family.
