Albert's Dog Lounge
Our Mission
Albert's Dog Lounge is a 100% foster-based rescue dedicated to providing loving homes to senior, special needs, and hospice dogs. We believe that old dogs make great new friends and deserve a dignified, happy second chance at a loving life.
Our Story
Founded in 2017, our organization was inspired by a tiny senior dachshund named Albert. After Albert arrived in Wisconsin in 2016 needing a home, he stole the hearts of our founders, Mandy and Darren, and showed them how much joy senior dogs bring to the world. In his memory, we have grown from a small group of friends to a massive network of over 150 volunteers committed to helping hundreds of seniors each year.
Our Care Model
We are a 100% foster-based rescue, meaning our dogs live in real homes while they wait for their forever families. This allows us to learn their individual personalities and medical needs in a comfortable environment, ensuring we can provide the best possible match for you. We partner with dedicated veterinary professionals to ensure every dog receives the quality care and support they deserve.
Your Role in Their Journey
We work diligently to place our dogs into permanent homes where they can spend the rest of their golden years feeling safe and cherished. By choosing to adopt from Albert's Dog Lounge, you aren't just gaining a companion—you are directly supporting our mission to save lives. Our team is here to guide you through a thoughtful matching process to ensure a successful, lasting bond for your family.
