Welcome to the Lander Pet Connection Inc., where our mission is rooted in three simple, yet profound words: Compassion in Action. Since our founding in 1996 by Syd Miller, we have dedicated ourselves to saving the lives of homeless animals in the Lander area. Our organization proudly serves as both a refuge and a beacon of hope for injured, abandoned, and starving animals, and we strive tirelessly every day to find them loving homes.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelter and rescue, the Lander Pet Connection is committed to not only rescuing animals but also to fostering a supportive bond between pets and their guardians. We believe in empowering our community by providing essential resources and education that enhance the human-animal connection, ensuring both pets and people flourish together.
We engage actively with our community, working closely with the City of Lander to serve as a safe haven for lost and found dogs while also extending our reach independently to save lives. Each animal that comes through our doors receives vital veterinary care, including spay and neuter services, life-saving vaccinations, and microchips, all while awaiting their forever home.
Our vibrant foster program plays a crucial role in our mission, allowing community members to welcome rescue animals into their homes. This not only helps the animals heal from trauma and decompress but also creates an enriching experience for families as they connect with and care for these deserving pets.
We invite you to explore the possibility of adopting one of our cherished dogs or cats. Simply fill out our Adoption Questionnaire, and a dedicated team member will assist you in welcoming a new furry friend into your family. Your support can change lives—both for the animals who need loving homes and for the individuals whose hearts will be forever touched by them.
Join us at the Lander Pet Connection in our noble cause. Together, let's extend compassion and kindness to all animals in need.
